Key Ranch stallions are by design a very diverse group, both in pedigree and in physique.  Their similarities are that they are by sires of sires, out of female lines consistent with the successful sons of those sires, and have great physical balance.  These attributes all help to establish predictability.

Predictable breeding patterns are invaluable.  For the young stallions, our recommendations are primarily based upon breeding patterns which have already been established by other, similarly bred sons of their sires.

A great deal of time is spent at Key Ranch gathering and evaluating data in regard to successful breeding schemes.  The computer age has made researching stallions and statistics much faster and simpler.  Thanks to the internet, access to information that was before available only through direct contact with the Jockey Club in Lexington is now readily available.  The Kentucky farms formerly had quite an advantage in obtaining information, and used it very effectively in marketing and managing their stallions.

Complimentary breeding recommendations and/or Werk Nick Ratings for your mare with any Key Ranch stallion is always available.  All recommendations are unbiased, and are based upon extensive research and many years of experience.  Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail.  Or you may simply follow the link to obtain the Werk Nick Rating for your mare.
